Best Online Master’s in Human Resources Programs

Human resources professionals have diversified responsibilities, which is why they need an excellent educational program. Various reputable universities offer online master’s degrees in human resources, giving professionals in the industry a chance to advance their career.

Colorado State University

ColoradoStateUniversity has a master of human resource management program. The program consists of 36 credit hours. Apart from the general degrees, there are various specialization possibilities to choose among – criminal justice leadership, accounting, business intelligence, international management and healthcare administration.

The master of human resource management program features several intriguing and practical courses like effective organizations – theory and practice, legal and human resource dimensions of business management, leading diverse teams, human resource planning and managing performance and results.

North Central University

North Central University was founded in 1996 and it gives students from all parts of the world access to contemporary and highly practical professional education opportunities. The university has a human resources management graduate program that is completely available online.

There are no physical residency requirements and students can rely completely on the university’s online learning platform. `

To get their MBA degree in human resource management, students will have to complete 30 credit hours. Some of the courses in the curriculum include recruitment and human resources information systems, labor relations, supervisory concepts and practices, compensation issues in human resource management and legal issues in human resources.

The cost per credit hour at North Central University is 850 dollars. There are no application and registration fees, making the graduate program more readily available. North Central University offers various types of financial assistance, including options that aren’t available at other academic institutions. The tuition assistance at work program is one of the most distinctive opportunities for people that are already working.

Florida Institute of Technology

An online master’s in human resource management is available at the Florida Institute of Technology. A master of management with an emphasis on human resources is another possibility that students can pursue online.

The total number of credit hours required for the completion of the program is 33. Some of the courses included in the curriculum are financial accounting, business law, employee relations, organizational communication, leadership theory and effective management and interpersonal relations.

A capstone project will have to be completed prior to graduating. Students will also have to work for an organization during their final year – an opportunity that enables them to apply the academic skills to real-life business situations.

The cost of studying at Florida Institute of Technology is 723 dollars. Various grants, scholarships and other types of financial aid are available for the students that can’t afford to pay the full cost of tuition.

Central Michigan University

Central Michigan University offers a slightly different opportunity from the other academic institutions included in the list. It has a master of science in administration program with concentration in human resources.

The program consists of 36 credit hours and the exact same curriculum is available in both the online and the campus-based format.

A few of the courses available in the Central Michigan University curriculum include collective bargaining and labor law, applied research project in administration, organizational dynamics and human behavior, strategic planning for administrators, human relations skills, communication in conflict management and gender and generational supervision. One of the best aspects of the program is that there are dozens of electives to pick among. As a result, the master in administration degree can be tailored to the specific needs of the student.

The final requirement is a thesis project that has to be completed prior to graduation.

The tuition cost per credit is 548 dollars. There’s a discount rate of 327 dollars per credit for military personnel. Additional grants, loans and financial assistance options are available for all of the Central Michigan University students.
