Best Online Programs MBA

Degree programs offering a MBA are exploding with more students than ever trying to achieve this degree. For a lot of prospective students, they need to form their studies around other obligations such as work or family. There is a wide variety of top ranked online schools for this purpose. Most programs are the same as offered in an on-campus learning experience. The ability to specialize a career focus is also available with online schools offering a Master’s degree in Business.

We searched and found the best online programs MBA around. The schools were selected based on admission rates, GMAT scores, reputation, success rate, student-faculty ratio and course offerings.

Indiana University Bloomington

The first top 20 business school in the nation, Indian University in Bloomington, offers the best online business program. Admissions for the Kelley School of Business are competitive. This school carries the second highest GMAT score in the nation.

The Master’s degree program offers part-time and full-time options taking between two to five years to complete. Students may choose from six unique specializations. The Kelley School of Business offers top of the line career services. Graduates can expect to see an average starting salary at a median of $104,000.

Arizona State University

Coming online soon after Indiana University-Bloomington was Arizona State University with the W.P. Carey School of Business. Now this popular MBA School is ranked as one of the top programs across the nation. The MBA program excels in successful graduates ranking third for an excellent starting salary after degree completion. The average median starting salary after graduation is $98,093.

The W.P Carey School of Business boasts of over 17,000 living alumni. The online courses for the Master’s degree in Business are the same as the on-campus curriculum. Students can choose between part-time or full-time with a one-course-at-a-time option. There are four specializations available. The school encourages students to combine a dual degree to enhance their education.

The University of Texas-Dallas

The Naveen Jindal School of Management is a prestige Business school at the University of Texas-Dallas. The online degree program was founded in 1999 with two tracks to excel from. Students can choose a Global Leadership Executive MBA or the Project Management Track. They also have healthcare management for a Physicians specialization.

The Global Leadership Executive MBA includes three on-campus retreats, a 10 day international study tour and one international retreat. MBA graduates can expect to make a starting salary median of $81, 037 after attending University of Texas-Dallas. They also have a large number of living alumni totaling lately at 7082.

Washington State University

New to the online MBA programming, the Carson College of Business at Washington State University was founded in 2007. The main campus has close to 20 years experience providing online education and over 50 years of providing MBA courses on-campus. This school has stricter acceptance requirements, enrolling only 51 percent of applicants interested in a MBA.

Students may choose from three different focuses either in Marketing, International Business, or Finance.

Thunderbird School of Global Management

Ranked as the number one international business school, Thunderbird School of Global Management offers a uniquely blended curriculum. The Global MBA program takes 19 months to complete and requires some on-campus.

This excelling program attracts over half of its students from outside the United States. The school also boasts as number one in living alumni at over 38,000 and a starting salary for MBA graduates at $83,200.

Admission standards are somewhat rigorous, with only a 62 percent acceptance rate. They look at a students work experience, preferring at least 2 years.

Syracuse University

Syracuse University Whitman School of Management’s online MBA is also relatively new, founded in 2001. They offer an MBA program which holds a wide variety of focuses and can be used for dual degrees. Some of these programs are Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Marketing Management.

The average starting salary is quite promising for Syracuse University Graduates coming in at almost $90,000 from the two year program. The student-faculty ratio is 11 to 1.

Ball State University

Ball State University’s online MBA program was established in the early 1990’s and continues to be a leader in the business world. Students can blend both online and on-campus as a part of their educational experience. The business school offers different areas of specialization. They include Finance, Operations Management, Sales Management, Entrepreneurship, and Health Economics and Administration.

Admissions are fairly easy, and students will discover a superior student-faculty ratio of six to one. The faculty is very invested in the student’s educational process and future successes. The salary outcome for a graduate is promising at a median of $100,000 immediately after program completion.

University of Florida (Hough)

Financial Times has repeatedly ranked the University of Florida’s Hough School of Business as one of the top programs for an online MBA degree. Called “one of the happiest online MBA programs on Earth” by Poets and Quants, this school aims to create a great educational experience.

Working professionals who want a Master’s degree in Business have two program options. There is the two year program which is open to students of any undergraduate degree major and a one year accelerated program open to Business degree majors who have graduated within the last seven years. Both options require students to have two years of professional work experience.

Norwich University

Norwich University is the nation’s oldest military college and has successfully transitioned to online education. Their MBA program offered online was founded in 2001. The program offers students up to five areas of specialization. This includes Construction Management, Finance, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

A more difficult school to get into, Norwich’s acceptance rate is only 42 percent of applicants. Students who have professional experience in the workforce can finish the MBA online program in as little as 18 months.
